One in Four Project:  1 in 4 women are abused.  Our project intention was to increase agency collaboration, empower community involvement, and identify and address gaps in services for victims of violence against women.  This grant was made possible by the Ministry of Community and Social Services.  We gratefully acknowledge thier support in the work to end violence against women.  What follows is an exploration of what we did.

Goal:  To increase collaboration between local service providers with the violence against women sector and broader social service system. Objective:  Create a compelling, innovative, collaborative, cooperative 5 year plan to end violence against women in Leeds & Grenville.

Goal:  To encourage greater community understanding and involvement in efforts to prevent violence against women.  Objective:  Run a successful multi-media campaign.

Goal:  Develop and implement a citizen engagement strategy. Objective:  Implement the Neighbor2Neighbor Campaign.

Goal:  Ensure effective coordination of local services and programs. Objective:  Trade shows/open house that include all victim services agencies, community groups, victims, general public and media.
